Just little old me ranting on random things, including movies, music, crazy people, and Conan O'Brien. Enter the Lair if you dare....

I. Am. Soo. Tired.

I just want to go home and have some tea, listen to the rain, maybe take a nap... Nice things...

Alas, I must go take a German test. Sadness.

The play went well. Going to Shari's afterwards was nice, and the ride home from Shari's on Friday was even nicer. :)

Gotta run, now.

Opening night is finally here. Surprisingly, I'm not really nervous. I know what I'm doing, I've done it a hundred times, I'll be fine. Although Anthony has been cutting off a couple of my lines lately, so I'm a little concerned about that, but it's not a big deal. It seems like a bad sign that on opening night I damage my toe. It was really stupid: I was opening the door for my friend, and it just opened right over my toe, bending back the nail about halfway. The dance numbers will be interesting. I hope I don't bleed on my tights...

We had the day off yesterday and I still spent the day at school. That's okay, since I was hanging out with that lighting guy (that one I mentioned, Brian). Fun, fun, fun. I hated hearing the bells on my day off, though.

I'm going to go home and try and take a nap and care for my toe. I'll probably tape it up or something. Hey, I forgot to eat today. I should probably go remedy that.

Happy (slightly belated) Halloween! I hope you guys had more fun than I did. I was home with a wicked sore throat and a head cold, alternately curling up on the couch (neglecting my homework yet again), and handing out candy to trick-or-treaters. Then Carissa, Derek, Jason, and Amanda came by to trick-or-treat and dragged me out with them. They got bored three houses later I was dragged back to Carissa's house to watch the Simpsons and lame yet hilarious internet cartoons. Good stuff.

Outdoor school was....er...a challenge, shall we say. Last year it was a huge blast. I had little angels for both groups. It rocked. This year I had very difficult boys, and a counselor assigned to work with me that only made my job harder. He would distract the boys at every opportunity and was incapable of discipline--he claimed they wouldn't listen to him (and it's your job to MAKE them listen--you're a counselor!!!) Grrr..... Oh well, it was a nice change from school. The director was such a baby about me missing two rehearsals. She even gave me permission a month ago, told the ADs to write it down, I sent her a reminder, and she was still pouting when I got back. She's very difficult.

There was a College Fair field trip today for juniors and seniors. It was very interesting. I would love to go to Barnard. They have a variety of interesting fields of study, and fantastic internship programs. When the lady at the table mentioned Miramax and Conan O'Brien, I was sold. It would make me very happy to be an intern for Conan O'Brien. The catch is that tuition is around $25,000 per year. That's a tough one. University of Rochester seemed really good as well, although a tad pricey. A good, solid safety school is Evergreen State College. Low tuition (less than $4,000) with lots of scholarships and good fields of study, flexible academic plans and reasonable (maybe too easy) entrance requirements. It seems too good to be true, actually. If anybody has heard of it, let me know. I keep waiting for some dire flaw to surface.

What's funny is I could score a 500 total on my SATs and still be eligible for Eastern Washington University. Hehehehe.... They have a funny system.

And University of Portland was there, Nathan. I didn't realize it was a Catholic school. That would be the difference between it and PSU. I wouldn't be crazy about abbreviating my school as UP--what do you guys use?

Gotta run off to rehearsal now.
